Whizz Kids was established in 1990 and provides young wheelchair users in the UK with support and skills they need, when they need them. It gives them a chance to develop to their full potential.
The trust has been supporting Whizz Kids for a number of years providing support for young wheelchair users in South East Wales.
Lacey Vu, Whizz Kids Trust Fundraiser adds We would like to thank you all at the Blackwood Engineering Trust for your support over the past year. Your generosity has meant that young wheelchair users in South East Wales have continued to receive the right equipment for their needs; the chance to develop the skills and confidence to secure employment; and the opportunity to make and keep new friendships.
On behalf of everyone at Whizz-Kidz, young wheelchair users and their families, we would like to thank you so much for your wonderful generosity this year. You have helped enable young disabled people to develop confidence, independence and access opportunities to reach their potential for years to come. Thank you for making this possible.
Whizz Kids has had to adapt in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic suspending all face to face services focusing on online delivery providing a programme of clubs, catch ups and skills development sessions bringing service users together.
